LEGACY DESIGN & FAMILY DOCUMENTATION
Advisory for Multigenerational Family Enterprises

Has your family enterprise existed for three or four generations?
Do you know what the founders of your family enterprise intended?
Was succession planned for, or did it just happen, and now it’s become a habit?
Does what your family knows about itself reside in the memory of only one or two people?
Has that knowledge ever been written down, or are you relying solely on financial statements?
THE DICKINSON FAMILY LEGACY COLLECTION
Every family has a story worth preserving. Unfortunately, only a few have taken the time to write it down.
I spent several years creating the Dickinson Family Legacy Collection: letters of wishes, family charters, ethical wills, values statements, and guiding documents designed to transmit not only wealth, but wisdom, not only assets, but understanding.
This was the architecture I wished my own family had passed down to me. It puts in writing the conversations that never happened.
FOR ALL FAMILY ENTERPRISES, THIS IS WHERE THE WORK OF LEGACY BEGINS.
I help families create their own legacy architecture. Collating documents that capture:
-
What the founders intended
-
What the current generation has learned
-
What the next generation needs to know
This is not a templated exercise. It is a process of honest reckoning, conducted with care, and designed to ensure that what endures is not only prosperity, but principle.
Because what matters most is the family's physical and emotional health.
Neither of my sons was asked to carry the weight of the past. The past is too heavy for anyone. It can be a burden no one should have to bear. And that is the precise intention behind everything the legacy design and documentation service provides.
